An expanding nationwide ambulance company faced challenges due to its current radio system's limitations in accommodating its growth. The system's requirement for frequent channel switching within the home state and during patient transport caused daily inconveniences and inefficiencies. Additionally, the lack of communication compatibility during expansion to other states led to the utilization of multiple radio systems and dispatch centers, resulting in substantial increases in communication operating costs.

Solution 

Kirisun promptly implemented its PTToC (Push-to-Talk over Cellular) technology, successfully transitioning the company to a unified radio system and dispatch center within a 30 days timeframe. The decision to adopt Kirisun's PTToC technology was a collaborative effort between the dealer and the customer. Each ambulance has been outfitted with a M50 mobile radio, ensuring reliable voice connectivity on the move. Crew members are provided with either a T450  or T60Y handheld radio to ensure they can stay in contact during operations. Additionally, our Emergency Medical Responders (EMR), first responders, supervisors, and administrators carry GP700Y handheld radios,providing  them with enhanced communication features and capabilities.

This advanced system now ensures uninterrupted communication during travel, integrates all states into a single system, and significantly reduces costs by consolidating dispatch centers. Notably, the ambulance company benefits from reduced monthly fees compared to their previous radio system, and the equipment costs are substantially  lower than their previous legacy radios. The incorporation of advanced features such as Voice & Text Dispatching,  along with GPS/AVL (Automatic Vehicle Location), has proved indispensable in optimizing the company's logistical  operations.
